Snow and Ice Reponse Plan

Snow Plow

Plowing and sanding will begin when snow accumulation reaches 2 inches, or sooner according to the judgment of the Public Works staff. Priority routes will be plowed first, and steep hills will be closed for safety.

The Snow and Ice Response Plan has been prepared for the purpose of communicating the designated roadways, in priority order, that will receive snow plowing and sanding services during winter snow and ice events. This Plan also describes sections of roadways that will be closed during winter snow and ice events, and provides a description of plowing and sanding services that will be employed by Public Works. This Plan includes the methods by which roadways will be monitored and Public Works will be alerted to adverse conditions.
