2017 Transportation Benefit District Annual Report

1st Street Overlay

In 2017, the City paved sections of First Street and Lincoln Avenue with funds from the Transportation Benefit District (TBD) and the State Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) Pavement Preservation Grant Program. This is an ongoing program of annual street pavement preservation and intersection improvement projects with revenues from a sales tax increase approved by the voters in 2011 for the City’s TBD. The City was awarded a TIB pavement preservation grant to overlay Fourth Street (Avenue E to Maple Avenue) in 2018! This project has an estimated cost of $500,000 with TIB providing grant funding of $425,000 (85% of the costs).
